Prices: DFHS members £12.00, non-members  £14.00

Note: A Reader's Ticket (for which proof of Identity is required) will only be required at Kew to use original documents, not for Microfiche / film. TNA expect the demand for Reader's Tickets to be quite small among Family Historians and intend only issuing as required at the entrance to the Document Reading Room.

Although the Family Records Centre has now closed, the parking is still available so the trips to Myddleton Street have been organised following requests from members who wish to continue to visit the London Metropolitan Archives. Since it is unlikely that a whole coachload will wish to visit the LMA, members might consider visiting other Archives. Are you aware that the Post Office Archives are only 5 minutes walk away and are excellent if you have a postman ancestor? The Probate Office - for wills after 1858, is 15 minutes walk away and the Guildhall Library a short bus ride. The Society of Genealogists is also about a 15 minute walk away and although not free has an unequalled collection of records from all over the UK available for Family History Research. COLINDALE NEWSPAPER LIBRARY

A mini bus trip to Colindale is too expensive, but as a private individual June is going by National Express and underground on the 19th June. If anyone wishes to join her, either for company or to know where the Newspaper library is, they are welcome. June has an itinerary for the day if anyone is interested.
