Peter Hart has been oral historian at The Sound Archive of Imperial War Museum since 1981. Peter, who is also a Great War historian and author of eight books, gave a lecture on "Life in the Trenches on the Western Front". This talk used excerpts from oral history to try and show what life was like for ordinary people.
Andy Robertshaw is a military historian, museum curator, author, broadcaster and trained teacher (he was the military consultant on the film "War Horse"). Andy held a workshop/talk on "How to Research Your Ancestors Military History". Using real case histories Andy guided us through the various web sites and archives available to assist in our research.
