Introduction to Family History workshop – Thursday 16th September 2021
Our Introduction to Family History workshop will be on Thursday 16th September 2021 from 10.00 -13.00 at Treetops. Aimed at those who are starting or have recently started their family history research, we will cover topics such as census returns, civil registrations and the GRO index. There will be a presentation plus the opportunity to look at some sample census, birth, marriage and death certificates and discuss the findings. We will explore how to plan and organise your research and record your findings. There are a limited number of spaces available (to allow for some social distancing) and reservations must be made in advance (£5 per person). After the workshop you are welcome to stay at Treetops to find out more about the records & subscription sites we have access to. Non-members are welcome to attend.
