“Dating Family Photographs – Looking for Clues” by Sally Macdougall – a Zoom Meeting
June 21 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Using many of her own family photographs, Sally looks at how to use techniques to read the clues and build a case for each image, in order to give a “best guess” date and hopefully help identify the sitter. Sally takes a light-hearted look at images ranging from the 1840’s to the 1900’s with many humorous and amazing images she has collected
Sally may be better known to some of you as Sally Skilton from DevonFHS. Originally from the Midlands she has lived in Devon for over 36 years. She joined DFHS in the 80’s going on to serve on the committees and working parties. Sally has been Events Co-ordinator and is currently Editor. In her “spare time” Sally works as a graphic designer, enjoys dancing and the study of historical costume, which has helped with her interest in her family photographs.
Zoom sign-in from 7.15 pm (UK time).
