An Imaginary Walk through 17th Century Dorchester by Brian Bates at St George’s Hall

April 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

£3.00

In the early 17th century Dorchester was seen as a hotbed of puritan  revolution. As we take an imaginary walk through the town we see how Durnovarians were affected by, and contributed to, the cataclysmic national events that led to Civil War. We will also see how the high and the low born dealt with the everyday tribulations of hunger, sickness and crime.

We are pleased to welcome back Brian Bates who has given talks on various topics of Dorchester history before.

Doors open 7.00pm
