Dorset FHS has been invited to the following events, and hopes to be represented at the events marked * (it depends on sufficient volunteers being available to run the stall). We try to bring our Parish Register indexes (it isn’t always possible) for you to view.
A full list of known Family History Fairs, events and activities can be found on the online calendar of GENEVA (GENealogical EVents and Activities) which is run on behalf of GENUKI and the Federation of Family History Societies.
Please check dates prior to visits in case of change.

Fairs organiser – We are looking for an organiser / coordinator who can receive and reply to invitations from other Societies. You will also be required to liaise with the Committee, about which invitations to accept, and also those taking the sales table. The role does not require personal attendance (although you could if you wished) at fairs as there are people willing to go to fairs.
Helpers are always required, either living locally to the Fair or willing to travel with whoever is taking the sales table to a Fair. If you can help, please Contact Us. Experience is not important as there is always guidance on hand. Time is given for helpers to visit other stalls, which are always of interest.
