We look forward to welcoming you as a Member of Dorset Family History Society. All Memberships are due for renewal on 1st October each year, irrespective of when during the year you join.

Pay online

Visit our shop, select Membership and add the appropriate New Membership product to your Basket. At Checkout, select an appropriate payment method.

To pay by Cheque or Cash (sterling only please)

Print off an Application form, complete and send it with your cheque to the address on the form, or take the form along with your cheque or cash to that address during opening hours, or to any of our meetings.  Please do not send cash by post.

May we encourage all members who pay Income or Capital Gains Tax in the UK to complete the Gift Aid declaration?  HM Revenue & Customs enables Charities, like us, to register subscriptions as a donation for Gift Aid purposes.  By this means we can claim back the tax paid by UK members on their subscription, making it worth an extra 25p for every £1 paid to the Society, at no extra cost to you or us. Thank you.

If you pay less Income Tax and / or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Please notify us if you:

  1. Want to cancel the declaration;
  2. Change your name or home address;
  3. No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

Please remember that the Society is staffed entirely by volunteers, so don’t expect an immediate response.  At busy times, particularly around the start of the Membership year in October, it can take a few weeks before your Membership number is issued and Welcome pack is sent to you.

Please ensure Dorset FHS are kept advised of any contact detail changes (including any email).
